Who is the Express-Online service intended for?

The Express-Online service is aimed at national and European road hauliers, mainly using light commercial vehicles (LCVs), who wish to improve their visibility in the urgent parcel and pallet transport market and optimise the reloading rate of their vehicles.

What is the cost of using the Express-Online service?

It is free for carriers.

How can I register?

To register, simply access the registration process and follow the instructions. At the end of the registration, you will need to upload your valid transport licence, a K-bis extract less than 6 months old, and any professional activity documents that may be required.

When will my registration become effective?

Your registration will become effective once the documents you provided have been checked and validated by our services. This verification takes 24 to 48 hours.

How does Express-Online work?

Express-Online relies on geolocation and the anticipation of the geographical position of vehicles to identify route matches in France and Europe. It prioritises matches between vehicle searches and return journeys. Express-Online then establishes a connection via the mobile app between express hauliers and freight forwarders to facilitate the reloading of return vehicles with urgent freight offers.

What are my duties towards my client?

The ‘carrier’ member undertakes to be reachable at all times during a mission and to carry it out under the best safety and quality conditions. They must inform their client in case of any anomaly or a delay of more than 30 minutes compared to the agreed schedule.

What should I do if I have a problem with a specific delivery?

In case of a problem before, during or after the transport, you must contact the operations department of the express freight forwarder involved to find a quick and appropriate solution. The contact information of this freight forwarder will be indicated on the mission confirmation sent to you.

Do I need to take any specific steps to be offered jobs?

To be offered jobs, you must register your company and vehicles on the Express-Online platform. Once registered, you will need to download the Express-Online mobile app. You will then be contactable by the platform’s express freight forwarders for either return journeys or urgent transport from your region.

Will my contact details be shared with other companies?

Absolutely not: the data collected on www.express-online.com is made available to subscribers solely for the platform’s operation and will not be used for any other purposes. It will not be shared or used by third parties for commercial prospecting.

How many vehicles can I register?

Each carrier can register between 1 and 5 vehicles.

I specialise in ADR/COLD/OTHER transport, can I register?

Yes, absolutely. If you have a safety advisor for ADR transport, you must upload a copy of their certificate at the end of registration, and if they are external to your company, a statement confirming they accept this role. Be sure to specify your ‘ADR’ rate at the end of registration. Similarly, if you have refrigerated vehicles, indicate your ‘cold’ rate rather than your ‘general goods’ rate. How do I get paid after a delivery?

Every freight forwarder is legally obliged to pay transport invoices within 30 days, in accordance with article L. 441-11 paragraph 5 of the French Commercial Code, modified by Ordinance no. 2019-359 of 24 April 2019. The carrier may hold the contracting freight forwarder liable in case of late payment.

Does the Express-Online platform guarantee payment?

Express-Online is a matchmaking service between express freight forwarders and carriers. It does not intervene in the formation or execution of transport contracts and offers no guarantee of payment. However, if a ‘partner’ freight forwarder fails to meet their obligations, they will be excluded from the platform.

Do Express-Online carriers need to download the mobile app?

Yes, as this allows them to be geolocated and to respond to availability requests from express freight forwarders.

How do my drivers download the mobile app?

Once your registration has been validated, your pre-registered drivers will receive instructions to download the app and activate their account. They will then be geolocated during the week (with their consent), and you will receive mission proposals related to their vehicle’s movements.

Will my drivers see the prices proposed by freight forwarders?

No, this information is reserved for the carrier account administrator.

Can my drivers respond directly to mission proposals?

No, only the account administrator has the right to respond to notifications (alerts).

How can I download the mobile app?

Once your registration is validated by the Express-Online service, you will receive an email explaining how to download the Express-Online mobile app. All relevant information will also be available on the ‘My mobile app’ page of your carrier space.

How can I manage my drivers and vehicles?

You can manage your company, drivers, vehicles, and documents from your carrier dashboard.
